Some Place Special Crimes

This site is dedicated to focusing on various urban crimes that take place in one of the most liveable cities in the United States (Pittsburgh, PA) as identified by various organizations and publication. As noted below, 'Urban' is defined in The Free Dictionary http://www.thefreedictionary.com/urban

Crimes from other areas may also be discussed, in addition to the Pittsburgh crimes. In addition to the crimes, some of the very good things about Pittsburgh (ie., Pittsburgh points of interest, Interesting things about Pittsburgh, Links relating other Pittsburgh attractions, great things that have occurred in Pittsburgh, etc.) will also be available in this blog for the purpose of providing information to others interested in knowing about things other than the strange crimes that occur in Pittsburgh.

The purpose is to focus on the fact that although the perception is that Pittsburgh is one of the most liveable cities in the US to live and there are wonderful things to do, and places to go, and schools to attend, there are many things that occur in our 'most liveable' abode that many people hear about, but also there are many things that many people do not hear about. I've lived in Pittsburgh for a large portion of my life and have seen, heard and experienced some things that make me ask the questions, "Why" do these crimes occur and base on this, "How" can Pittsburgh be determined as one of the most liveable cities in the US?

I will reference things that I've obtained from the Internet, things that I find in various publications, (ie., newspapers, TV news, personal experiences and eye-witnesses, etc.) along with other communications that are distributed in and around Pittsburgh.

I will make this blog relevant by documenting my findings of strange and interesting crimes that I've identified. I hope you enjoy the information. Please feel free to comment.
